Auto offers, now part of Auto Waitlist

Avela can now make offers automatically, not just waitlist automatically. Your existing "Auto waitlist" rule can also become "Auto waitlist and offer" - a single rule that decides, based on your waitlist ordering and available seats, whether to offer a seat from the top of the waitlist, or add a student to the waitlist if there's no capacity. Learn more.

• Set it up as a rule on any form with a school ranking section. Choose which statuses trigger it, and which schools it applies to.
• Auto offer is a checkbox, off by default - where the rule only waitlists students. This is the same behavior as Auto Waitlist before this release.
• It reacts to seats opening up: when capacity increases, or when an offer is declined or revoked (including via Auto revoke), the next student on the waitlist is offered automatically.
• It works alongside Auto tag and Auto revoke. Tagging runs first so waitlist priority is correct, and offers made while an Auto Revoke rule is active are given an expiration date.
• Existing Auto waitlist rules are migrated automatically with Auto offer turned off. Behavior doesn't change and there's nothing you need to do.
• Auto offer isn't available yet for organizations that use programs.

Inline videos in Explore

You can now embed videos on school pages in Explore, so families can watch them without leaving the Explore site. Add a YouTube or Vimeo link in your Explore data sheet and work with your Avela success representative to reference where you'd like it to appear. Multiple videos may be displayed.
