Explore has an optional feature that allows users to compare listed schools in a single view. This view gives users a way to see all of the information that's important to them for all the schools they're interested in.
Users can activate the compare view when having saved at least 2 schools to their saved schools list. The "compare" button will not be displayed if there are less than 2 schools on the saved school list.
When the "Compare" button is clicked, it will open up the compare view.
In the compare view, users can view the schools they have saved. They can also choose to remove schools by clicking the "Remove" button. Removing a school in the compare view also removes it from their saved schools list.
The compare view is optimized for both mobile and desktop viewing.
Setting up comparing schools for Example
To setup comparing schools for Explore, reach out to your Avela representative with the following information:
- What you'd like to be displayed on the compare view. The information displayed in the compare view draws from the information already available about schools in Explore.
- The order this information will be shown in the compare view.
- Any customization around the default text in the case there is no information for a specific school. For example, one school might not have information for a "description" field. We place a fallback value if that's the case. The default fallback text is "No value". This can be customized per individual piece of data.
