When you're drafting your form content, you may realize the initial order in which you created something - intentionally or by accident - is actually not right anymore. Avela makes it easy to correct that by letting you move questions to precise new locations, adjusting the order as you draft your form.
How to move questions
- Locate the question you want to move, and identify before which other question you'd like to move it to. Be mindful of the order if you want to move questions that reveal others or are associated with eligibility. Learn more about these caveats.
- Click "Move question".
3. A selection list will pop up to let you pick before which question it should be moved to, and they'll be grouped by section. If your form is very long, you may have several sections and questions - feel free to type to search the one you're looking for.
Some caveats
In order for the logic you set to work, there are some restrictions - and the form will let you know about this when you Check for errors - to keep in mind.
- Questions associated with eligibility - such as location boundaries, date of birth, or excluding schools. Must be placed in the Pre-Ranking section. They cannot be moved anywhere else, to ensure the eligibility logic works correctly.
- Questions conditionally revealed by other questions must be placed after the question that reveals them. They cannot be moved before, to ensure the conditional logic works correctly.
