Staff can see messages in two ways:
- On the Messages tab of a specific form response
- On the Messages page, which shows all messages sent by the organization, but you may be restricted from seeing all depending on your Role.
Viewing messages on a form response
This method is best for understanding a student’s progress and the communication history with their family. It includes both automated messages and ad-hoc messages sent by staff.
- Go to a form response.
- Click on the Messages tab.
- If there hasn’t been any communication with the family, you might not see any messages listed.
Note: If you're Translating messages, you'll see the option to translate a message from its original language to the translated version where applicable.
- If you sent an email containing both English and translation, you won't need to use this button
- If you sent an SMS containing only the translation, use this button to switch back and forth from English to Translated language
Viewing messages on the messages page
This method is great for finding a specific message when you only remember part of its content or want to see messages sent by a particular teammate. This page centralizes all ad-hoc messages, making it easier to find what you’re looking for without wading through automatic messages.
- What you see depends on your role. For example, some staff can see all messages from the organization, while others can only see messages related to their assigned school. Learn more about Roles, teams and members.
- Go to the Messages page.
- Click on any message to view its details.
